Today, Tuesday, December 8, is the very last day to place CUSTOM orders in time for holiday delivery in the Chalkydoodles shop.


All custom orders will ship December 16-19 with Priority Mail 2-3 day delivery. In Stock items (including Christmas Stockings, select children's apron styles and more) will ship even sooner.


So don't delay - shop away!

In the Arms of an Angel

With a very heavy heart, I share the sad news that after many long months of fighting a rare form of cancer, 13-year-old Laurren Smith passed away on Friday.

Countless friends learned about Laurren's story through blog posts, Facebook and local newscasts - and many, many people prayed faithfully for Laurren, especially during the last critical months of her fight.

Last week, Laurren's Daddy posted a series of poetry that he wrote as he held and comforted Laurren during the last days of her suffering. I encourage you to take a few minutes to read through these sweet phrases on Laurren's blog.

Please continue to pray for peace and comfort for Laurren's family and for her life to continue to be a witness to those she touched during her short, but amazingly fruitful time here on earth.

A Fresh New Look!

Notice anything different? Chalkydoodles has a brand new logo and a fresh new look!

The new Chalkydoodles website (you've probably heard us talking about it) is nearing completion and boy oh boy - are we excited!

We've been working for months now with Quirky Bird Designs on the new Chalkydoodles website, and our graphics are just about all ready to roll! Our new blog design and some of our other graphics are still under contruction (pardon our mess) but soon everything will be finished up and perfected.

The new Chalkydoodles site is about to enter the all-important "testing phase" so hang on while we work out all of the kinks. We'll let you know when we've set our official site launch date and will also be updating you with sneak peeks of the site, including our new products (just wait 'til you see them!) and special deals leading up to the BIG day.

Our Etsy shop also has a new look as well as some exciting new products. We're collaborating with South House Boutique to bring you our new Oilcloth and Chalk Cloth stockings, and will soon be introducing other, exciting collaborative efforts with more amazing Etsy artists. We're also continuing to add great new products with original art and vinyl decals by Elephannie.

I'm collaborating with fellow Etsian Diane Sudhoff of South House Boutique to co-design and co-produce a small batch of these great stockings, so get' em while they last!

Diane recently began offering a wonderful line of fabric and chalkboard stockings on Etsy (which are selling like hotcakes!) and graciously agreed to work with me to design an oilcloth chalkboard stocking to complement both of our product lines. Diane is an absolute joy to work with - a mother-figure and mentor in one! I am so excited about this new partnership, and can't wait to see what we come up with next!
